5 Tips for Managing Processing Equipment.
Tip 1
Take the time to look inside.
Humans are visual creatures.
Many assets look good on the outside, but require looking inside.
This can take time and effort, undoing bolts. Lifting heavy things.
If we don’t look inside, the inside becomes the outside.

Tip 2
Measure.
If you don’t know where you are, you don’t know where you’re going.
Find out how long, how much and how many.

Tip 3
Centralise data.
Collect all drawings, pictures, inspections, measurements, part numbers, supplier details, workorders etc.
Put them in one folder. When you get that promotion, give the file to your replacement.

Tip 4
Consistency.
Brushing your teeth a lot once doesn’t achieve much. Brushing your teeth a little every day does.
Regular, small maintenance efforts can prevent major issues from developing.
An example, if a small upstream feed spool wears out, a new downstream component won’t last very long.

Tip 5
Improve.
Happiness comes from progress.
Just like your house renovation, car, or garden. It’s nice knowing you’ve made something better.
