How we achieved 8x for a Gold Processing Plant
In Jan 2019 a gold fixed plant had big problems with their hydro-cyclones.
A recent change in ore profile caused extreme abrasion. The original rubber liners were wearing out as quickly as two weeks.
At one point their maintenance team were driving their worn parts to Kalgoorlie to get urgent rubber repairs.
The solution was a trial of Fully SiC™ Hydrocyclone liners on three of the ten cyclones.

After three months of no measurable wear, the process manager requested all of their cyclones to be upgraded to Fully SiC™.
They now have a Gypsy Rotable system in place.
This allows their maintenance team to lift fully assembled cyclones straight into the cluster rather than rebuilding parts on the deck.

The cyclone life increased from 3 months to 24 months representing an 8x improvement in life.
Nearly 6 years later in 2024, we still continue to supply this client with Fully SiC™ cyclones.
